A Christmas market is a traditional event that celebrates the sights, sounds, and scents of the season staged during the weeks leading up to Christmas. These markets originated in Germany and Alsace, beginning in the early 1400s, and now they are held in many countries all over the world.

The Banff Christmas Market is inspired by the Old World and influenced by the New. It captures all of the tradition, heritage, and romance of these European Markets while showcasing the best artisanal products of the Bow Valley and its surrounding regions. Boasting unique products, family-friendly entertainment, and a festive menu of cocktails, pretzels, mulled wine, and sweets, The Banff Christmas Market creates a warm and inviting environment for families of all ages during the day and an adult atmosphere in the evening.

LOCATION: Warner Stables, 100 Sundance Rd

DATES: November 14-17, November 22-24, November 29 - December 1, and December 6-8

HOURS: Thursday 5pm - 9pm (Nov. 14 ONLY), Friday & Saturday 10am - 8pm, Sunday 10am - 4pm

ENTRY FEE:
Adults: $15
Seniors (65+): $12
Kids 10 & under: Free
All ticket prices are subject to 5% GST.

OUR TEAM

The Banff Christmas Market is proudly owned and operated by a driven group of local Banff women.  

Founded in 2014 by Jolene Brewster, the Market first opened for just one weekend with 25 vendors, a roll of red carpet that refused to stay put, and as many Christmas lights that she could wrangled.

Jolene was joined by business partner, Hayley Mulhern, in 2018 and together they have built the Market in a holiday festival that spans 4 weekends and hosts over 150 vendors! 

These hard working moms team up with decor extraordinaire, Mary Brewster, and Market Manager, Siobhan Moran, to bring together the perfect celebration of the holiday spirit. These ladies work tirelessly  year-round organizing, crafting, building, and envisioning a brighter year ahead. 

You're likely to see our fabulous team around the Market (often with their kids in tow!) so be sure to say hi next time you see them and share your thoughts on the Market! Your feedback is what allows the Market to grow bigger and better each year.
