When is the 2024 Banff Christmas Market open?

November 14-17, November 22-24, November 29-December 1, and December 6-8.

Market hours are Friday & Saturday 10am - 8pm, and Sunday 10am - 4pm.

Warner Stables, 100 Sundance Road, Banff, AB

How does the timeslot booking work?

All online ticket purchases will be arranged through timeslot bookings to help manage the Market’s capacity. When purchasing tickets online, you will be prompted to choose a 20-minute timeslot based on available dates and times. Guests must arrive on their chosen date within their timeslot to ensure smooth Market entry, but are welcome to stay as long as they like! Entrance is subject to event capacity.

If you miss your timeslot, we will do our best to accommodate, however, we cannot guarantee availability.

Do I need to book a timeslot for my child under 10?

Children 10 and under are allowed into the market for free! When booking your tickets, make sure to book a Child’s ticket for the same time slot as your own ticket. The ticket will be booked and added to your cart free of charge.

Can I change my timeslot after I’ve booked my tickets?

Yes! You are able to change the time and/or date of your Banff Christmas Market ticket one time through our online ticketing platform, Showpass.

To make a change, please visit the Showpass website for a step-by-step process. We are unfortunately unable to make this change on your behalf.

Tickets cannot be changed with less than 24 hours notice.

I am no longer able to attend the market. Can I transfer my ticket to a friend?

Yes! You are able to transfer your Banff Christmas Market ticket one time to another person through our online ticketing platform, Showpass.

To make a change, please visit the Showpass website for a step-by-step process. We are unfortunately unable to make this change on your behalf.

Tickets cannot be transferred with less than 24 hours notice.

Can I buy tickets at the gate?

Tickets must be purchased online and are subject to availability. You can purchase online at the gate if there is availability, however we do not accept payment on-site.

Will there be entertainment?

Yes! We have live music every day starting at 10:30am.

I bought tickets online but didn’t receive them…

How can I pay at the market?

Most vendor accept cash, credit & debit. We have ATM machines available within the Market for your convenience.

Are dogs allowed?

Dogs are permitted at the Market but must be kept on a leash at all times. Owners are responsible for cleaning up after pets. The Banff Christmas Market accepts no responsibility for the actions of pets.

The Banff Christmas Market is a very busy environment with many indoor shopping options and experiences. To ensure your pets’ enjoyment, we highly encourage visitors with pets to select non-peak times to partake in the festivities (Friday 10am - 4pm, Sunday 10am - 12pm).

Can I leave and re-enter the market?

Due to capacity management, we cannot permit re-entry. Once at the market you are welcome to stay as long as you like!

Is there a place to park my stroller?

Yes, free stroller parking is available at the market. Please note that no attendant will monitor the stroller parking.

Is the market wheelchair accessible?

The Market is wheelchair accessible and there is a wheelchair accessible washroom on-site. Please note, the ground is not paved, may be muddy and/or icy, and certain areas of the market are floored with mulch.

I lost something at the Market. Who should I talk to?

I love Christmas and want to volunteer! How do I participate?

We are always looking for volunteers passionate about the holidays! We have many different volunteer positions available from market & decor set up/tear down, assisting the Marshmallow Station, and assisting at the Letter to Santa Station. As a thank you, volunteers will receive 2 passes to the Banff Christmas Market (valid any day, 2 mulled wines, and one Banff Christmas Market toque - a total value of $70!).
